Wow! I've been slacking on here!!

Sorry about the lack of updates.
It's been a crazy couple weeks and will probably get even worse.

I've decided to go back to school.
I'm going for my Bachelors in Elementary Educcation.
I'm doing it online through the University of Phoenix. It's going to take approximately 3 years and will most likely be a LOT of work, but it will be so worth it.
I've wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember and now I have the opportunity to make that a reality. When I was in college 15 years ago, I was really slack. I didn't want to put in the effort back then, I was just sick of school. Now I have another chance and I'm going to work my ass off!! So, blog updates may be few and far between, but I'll do my best to at least post some pictures now and then and give some quick updates.

Alanis is doing great. She's crawling now and gets faster an faster everyday. She's really working on pulling herself up and I don't think it's going to be long now before she's cruising around.
She's been trying some new foods. Like jello. She acutally likes playing with it more then eating it, but that's ok. She LOVE pancakes. I have a box of the mini pancakes and after her oatmeal in the morning, I heat one up and cut it up for her and she sits in her chair and eats it while I wash bottles and clean up.
She's getting quite the attitude and has no problem yelling at you and banging her hands on the table or ground to let you know she's not happy. She loves carter! I think she's completely facinated by him. He loves her too because she drops a lot food!
She still sleeps like a champ but is way grumpy if she's tired. She lets you know it too;)

I tried to just upload some pictures, but it's not working tonight. I'll try again tomorrow!!

Some Updates

It's been a busy week or so.

Alanis had some sort of virus for 3 days that made her have a very high temperature. It would get up to 103+ and that was while rotating Tylenol and Motrin every 3 hours. It was a little scary, but we made it through. The only other symptoms she had was a runny nose and a little cough here and there. Could be the Rhino Virus which is basically a cold. The Dr thought it might be Roseolo, but she never got the rash. I dont' know what it was, but I'm glad it's over!!

However , she passed it to mommy. I guess she's just such a nice girl she wants to share EVERYTHING with mommy! Now she passed it on to Daddy.

Big News on the Alanis front ...........................
On Thursday, she army crawled across the floor to me:) It was SO cool!! She didn't think so. She thought it would have been cooler if mommy just came and got her. I don't know where she gets that laziness from. Daddy and me are not lazy.
She's also getting tooth number 2 on the bottom!!
I wish she'd slow down a bit. I feel like it's all rushing by.
I'm so thankful that I only work part time.

She's been eating really well. Doing 5-6 bottles a day and 3 baby food meals + snacks.
She's all about food. Oh and she loves Freeze-pops. That's actually what she gets for desert now:) I know it feels good on her teethe, so I'm fine with it. Problem is, once it's gone she freaks out because she wants more.

Russ is doing well at his new job. No surprise there.
He hurt his back last week and is having some trouble getting around.
It's on the mend however and he's going to try and get some golf in today.
